RFP - $3 Million Arizona Middle School Math Pilot Research Project
The State of Arizona wishes to implement an eLearningi pilot program to deliver digital middle school mathematics content aligned to Arizona State Academic Standards. The program will provide the digital content with assessments for math grades 6 through 9 and use laptop computers. Professional development is a critical component of success for the project and will be included in the design and implementation of the program. See attached PDF proposal.
For purposes of this RFP, eLearning is defined as:
The use of electronic technologies or Information, Communication, Technology (ICT)’s in education. eLearning may occur both in distance and conventional education and may involve electronic media that do not use online delivery.

The GAZeL membership, including corporations, universities, organizations, and individuals, has identified that accessing and disseminating relevant and timely e-Learning research as an important need. To fulfill this need, GAZeL is planning a statewide research meeting, entitled GAZeL’s Strategic Directions Symposium 2007. The University of Arizona (James Austin at UA, Director of Learning Technologies) and the ITT Technical Institute, (Alex Devereux, Director of Lifelong Learning) will host the June event.
