The eleven member Task Force is appointed by the Governor, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House, and representatives from the Government Information Technology Agency and the Arizona Department of Education. (Staff support provided by the Arizona Department of Education ). To achieve its ten year mission to guide and support eLearning adoption in Arizona's K-12 education system the enabling legislation instructed the task force to:

The Task Force was funded with $3 million to implement, with the Arizona Department of Education, a three-year eLearning middle school math pilot program at up to ten schools.
