Volunteer For GAZeL Committees

Thank you for your interest in "Getting Involved" with GAZeL. The following is a description of current GAZeL Committees or volunteer opportunities. Please tell us how you want to "Get Involved.

The Events Committee will develop an annual events plan, and plan and coordinate events such as networking events, membership meetings, conferences, trade shows, educational events, and product demonstrations.

The Website Committee will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of the GAZeL website.

The GAZeL Infrastructure/Systems Committee will be responsible for development and maintenance of an integrated web based system for membership management, financial management and reporting, online registration and payments for membership, sponsorship and events, volunteer and committee management, e-mail marketing, Board and committee collaboration, etc

The PR & Marketing Committee will develop and implement marketing strategies to promote GAZeL, GAZeL initiatives, elearning and the eLearning industry to providers and consumers of eLearning. The strategy may include: branding for GAZeL; developing the GAZeL “message”; developing a flyer/brochure; working with the web site committee to develop web site content and; coordinating the GAZeL bulletins/newsletters. They would also manage media relations, press releases, news stories, TV or Radio interviews, newsletter articles for other organizations, speaking engagements, etc.

The Outreach Committee will develop collaborative relationships with other organizations such as the Arizona Technology Council, the Arizona Small Business Association, ASTD, etc. They will also develop GAZeL liaisons with communities throughout Arizona and engage people in other interest areas such as banking and education.

The Membership/Associates Committee will recruit GAZeL members/associates. The committee will design the membership program, including membership fees, and differentiate benefits and services provided for paying members that are not provided for the general public.

The Policy and Advocacy Committee is charged with identifying, adopting and promoting legislative and policy positions on behalf of the eLearning community.

The Special Projects Committee will organize projects that promote eLearning and the growth of the eLearning industry.

The Fundraising Committee will be responsible for working with the Board to design and implement a fundraising strategy to support GAZeL operations and initiatives.

The Research Committee will enable Arizona eLearning companies and practioners keep informed about, and have access to recent research relevant to elearning and advancing eLearning technologies and services. The Committee will provide a central depository for those interested in advancing eLearning technologies and services; encourage and promote research in areas related to technology-enabled learning, write proposals and foster inter-institutional studies, projects, programs, and other forms of collaboration; be responsive to changes in technology that affect learning; and contribute to Arizona’s growing understanding about technology-enabled learning and its promises for the future. If you have research interests, projects, papers, or programs related to eLearning we invite you to participate in this Committee.

The Newsletter Committee will be responsible for developing, editing and publishing the monthly "Insights" Newsletter
