GAZeL Executive Board Meeting – 11:30 AM to Noon, Thursday, July 22, 2010

Alex called the meeting to order at 11:40 am. Thanks to Cox Business Services for their remote audio conferencing.

ATC Discussion

Alex reported the Arizona Technology Council (ATC) confirmed they received our request for changes to our proposed partnership but are unable to address our questions just yet. The Board discussed their possible responses: Thanks, but no thanks or move forward with joint marketing and possible content.

Bobbie has received 20 emails for ATC events recently and concluded they have a lot on their plate right now. So no response at this time is understandable.

Steve Peters offered to contact both Steve Zylstra and Ron Schott to see if he could either confirm if they had a response to our proposal or set a date for a second meeting.

Other Business

Bobbie informed the board of Bob Rosenberg’s health condition and will send a get well card on behalf of GAZeL.

Alex called the meeting to order at 12:00 Noon 

1)      Website Update – Brad/Alisa: GAZeL’s new website should be running on Brad’s server within the next few days. There is an additional file/configuration issue that needs to be resolved.

2)       Networking Events - E-Rate:  Duke reported on the status of the fall E-Rate Event. We should plan for approximately 50 attendees. Bobbie will find tentative dates and times available for the event. Once selected, Duke will design a flyer to be approved by the board to be sent out to as many organizations as possible.

Our next back-to-back Executive and General Board Meetings are scheduled for August 26th, 2010 with the Executive meeting starting at 11:30 AM.
