GAZeL Executive Board Meeting - Noon, Thursday, March 11, 2010
Ted, Bob, Bobbie, Michele, Alisa, Maggie, Steve and Alex were on the conference call.

Maggie called the meeting to order at 12:10 PM as Alex was unexpectedly delayed.
Maggie thanked Cox Business Services for their remote audio conferencing.
Minutes:
1) Website Update: Steve/Alisa
Steve reviewed the 5 basic procedures the U of A students would be performing to update the GAZeL Website; functionality, navigation, template design, content analysis and update to Drupal 6. Bobbie suggested Steve set a weekly meeting with the team to ensure they had all they needed to complete the project on time and to keep Steve updated.
2) Board Member Participation: Bobbie
Bobbie asked how we could get more board members to attend events and participate with committees. It was discovered that Alex’s email distribution list needed to be updated as some members were not receiving board meetings and events announcements. Bobbie sent her list for comparison. A review of the GAZeL Website revealed board member information needed updating as well. Maggie made the corrections.
3) Networking Event: March 16th - AZ Board of Regents, Fred DuVal
Our upcoming networking event is set for Tuesday, March 16th, at SkySong. There are 20 attendees registered as of today. Many ASU folks will be attending. It was suggested we ask the Regents to send out notices of the event via their own distribution lists to increase attendance from other universities. Steve will confer with Fred DuVal on an agenda to include ample time for questions from the audience.
Bobbie has not been able to reach Henry Ryng from inXsol to see if he will speak on his latest project for a possible event in May.
4) Treasurer’s Report: Bobbie
GAZeL has approximately $2,437.00 in its account with $350.00 due in from this month’s event sponsor. There is also $140.00 in the PayPal account from registered attendees.
The costs for hosting the GAZeL Website and domain name renewal were also discussed. Alisa will renew the domain name by the May 12th expiration date. No ideas were presented for other means of fundraising.
5) New/Old Business – Spring Face to Face Fling for Board Members
There will be a board get-together on Sunday, June 6th at 1:00 PM at Bobbie’s house.
Alex thanked Maggie for facilitating the meeting during his absence.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:55 PM.
