Minutes

1)      Website/IT: Cost updates

Steve submitted a new letter requesting assistance from the Director of the Master's in MIS Program, Management Information Systems Department at the Eller College of Management at University of Arizona to redesign the GAZeL website; so this is still a viable option to fix the website. Discussions on Drupal and other platforms were discussed and will be evaluated once an assessment of the website is completed hopefully after the first of the year.

Brad reminded the board of his offer to host the GAZeL website at no charge.

2) Virtual Conference Update

It was decided to table this topic until the website issues have been addressed. 

3)      CEO Breakfast (January 12^th)

Bobbie announced the speaker for the CEO Breakfast on January, 12^th will be Arizona State Senator John Huppenthal. The breakfast will be held at the University Club beginning at 7:30 AM. Pearson is the sponsor. Bobbie is requesting board members to submit the name, company name and email address of any new CEO who should be included on the invitation list. Suggestions on changes to the letter were discussed. Bobbie will be sending the letters out next week.

4)      Networking Events

The next networking event is in February but we will need suggestions for the March event on. Steve will follow up on his contacts.

5)     E-Rate Event

There was much discussion on E-Rate and how GAZeL could support the state schools in this program. Sharon suggested the board be given an in-depth presentation on the details of E-Rate before support of an activity is approved.
