Corporate Learning Trends and Innovation:
April 21-22. Mark your calendar now
A week from today, Learntrends will host a series of conversations about how to improve learning in organizations. It’s a big topic, so we plan to keep the conversation going for 24 hours.
Come and go as you wish. There’s no sign-up required. Drop by at breakfast time, during a mid-morning break, at lunch, after dinner, or in the wee hours of the morning. Everyone is busy these days; join us when it’s convenient for you.
As is our tradition, Learntrends is online and free. We’ll be using the Elluminate platform for listening in and taking part in discussions. We’ll also be using Twitter as our back channel.
The event kicks off with conversations with George Siemens, Luis Suarez, Brent Schlenker, Ellen Wagner, Charles Jennings, Harold Jarche, Clark Quinn, Marcia Conner, and Nancy White, along with many others you probably know by reputation. They’ll be talking about networked intelligence, case studies of what works, new roles for learning pros, making informal learning concrete, and real-time learning with Twitter.
Then the event turns more informal. Tell us what you want to talk about and we’ll put it into the agenda. We’ve set aside ten hours for short talks, Q&A, and joint problem-solving. Think of it as wandering into our living room to chat about whatever concerns you.
We’re all volunteers here. We need your help in three areas:
1. We need people to moderate the conversations on Elluminate from 0:00 to 10:00 Greenwich Mean Time.
2. Volunteer to lead a 20-minute discussion on a topic you or others suggest.
3. Spread the word. The more, the merrier. Tell your local contacts to join our global event.
Click the third tab here on the Learntrends site, April 2009 Event, for complete information.
We look forward to seeing you next week.
