Alex opened the meeting at 12:05 and thanked our sponsors.

Agenda Items:

Bobbie took names of Directors wanting to attend the Dec 10^th meeting at the Air Force Research Lab.  She has 14 names so far.

Board Member Updates – Bobbie  Bobbie will remain as Treasurer & Casey as Secretary

Networking/Conference Events:

December Networking Event is on December 10^th, 2008 at the Air Force Research Lab in Mesa.  Our registration is down but email Bobbie at bkraver@qwest.net if you want to attend.   

CEO Breakfast Bobbie if we have 40 people we need $1500 sponsorship.  If we have more than 40 we will need more money.  When we get to 40 we will decide whether to charge them or try to get more sponsors.

Virtual Conference Events Updates –Tim Dosemagen  We have discussed having 1 hour seminars that could be accessed via the Internet.  There would be a charge for viewing these.  We would archive many of these.

Alex presented the idea that these could possibly be credit courses for those who need them.  Discussion ensued and it was decided to postpone that discussion until we know exactly what we would be presenting.

Bobbie mentioned Odyssey as wanting to sponsor a networking meeting.  It was also suggested that the speakers be video taped.  Bobbie also mentioned that Sky Song may sponsor a networking meeting.

Membership Drive Update –Michele sent out the matrix about 3 weeks ago and got 2 good responses.  She will send it out again and wants to have a face to face meeting to discuss especially company memberships. 

 New/Old Business

 PR/Marketing Committee; GAZeL 2009 Strategy Development;

Tim D offered to host a 3 hour meeting to set out a mission statement and it was set as Tuesday, Dec 30^th  12-3 pm at Collins College in Tempe.

Bobbie mentioned that we have not been advertising the partnership with ABLE’s 'Technology in Schools Contest' as we should be doing.  She would like it put on the GAZeL website.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, Dec 11^th.
