GAZeL Board of Directors Meeting: 26th June 2008

At 12:04 Alex welcomed everyone and thanked our sponsors. 

Richard mentioned that Kelley would be backup and Dawn Sekel from Texas, would doing most of the web work.  Kelly would still host the site.  Lauryn hasn’t sent him the new contacts to enter into CRM.

Richard moved we accept Tim Dosenmagan as a member of Board of Directors and it was seconded by Bobbie and carried unanimously.

Networking Events Updates – Bobbie/Michelle

Tracorp still hasn’t gotten their phones in yet but still think they would be ready the end of August.

 

Wednesday Oct 22, at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Dee Andrews will give a 20 minute background on the facility and it’s purpose.  Everyone must register at least a week in advance and supply name and Social Security Number.

 

Strategic Planning Meeting Plans:  Discussion ensued about when and where.  Steve had suggested The Advanced Strategy Center.  Possibly have the July 24th Meeting a face to face plus audio meeting and then later meetings.  Alex, Bobbie and Michele will meet July 8th to prepare the agenda at the Eyeopener.

Bill Perry introduced himself and his company  B.P. Global Enterprises (www.bpglobal.net). Most of his grant writing goes through the Dept of Labor.  Bill fielded many questions about what he might be able to do for GAZeL.  He mentioned working through the Kauffman Foundation.

 

Alex discussed ABLE’s request for us to provide a list of companies who provide eLearning training for workforce development.

Membership Dues Update  Membership for directors is $75 and it was asked that all directors pay their dues.

GAZeL is about to the stage it can cash the checks from GAZeL-A-Ganza, once the 501 C3 issue is taken care off.

Next Executive Committee Meeting July 10th.
