Greater Arizona eLearning Association

December 22, 2007

Those present: Alex Devereux, Bobbie Kraver, Sheri Schmeckpeper and Michele Smith

The purpose of this meeting was to brainstorm in the following areas:

A.

1. Who we are
2. What our needs are in order to function on an equal footing with other technology organizations.
3. To be able to present the need for membership dues by enumerating how the dues will be used.

B .How we will describe GAZeL.

1. GAZeL is for all eLearning no matter what level of learning is necessary.

a. PK-20

b. Workforce development

c. Address key areas focused on elements that are universal to providers and users.

d. Address needs of corporations.

e. Provide research about trends, etc. Provide information (legislative/economic/demographic).

C. How we will use money from membership dues and donations.

1. Hire a part time executive director who will attend functions and promote GAZeL

2. Set up powerful and interesting networking meetings and have presentations that will involve all digital and simulation information.

3. Continue to create and manage a website that will meet the needs of all users and have a training program (tutorials) that will help in the navigation of this website.

D. Encourage input from our members on what they want this cluster organization to do.

1. Have members encouraged to display their products and services on our website.

2. Establish interactive blogs on our website for similar ideas to increase eLearning.
